Not sure what to bring?
Clothing Essentials:
-Lime green and dark purple clothing
-Rain gear (coat, boots, umbrella... it rains a lot, like A LOT)
-Winter gear (coat, boots, hat, mitts, scarf... it gets really cold, like REALLY)
-Solid coloured t-shirts to decorate for events
-A couple fancy outfits for formal events
-Clothes you don’t mind ruining or getting dirty
-Running shoes/ active wear
Room Essentials:
-Bedding
-Pillows
-Towels
-Posters and pictures to decorate your walls
-Dishes
-Clothes hangars
-Organizational units (a.k.a baskets, shoe organizers, etc.)
-Sticky tac/Command Strip products (no tacs allowed...but Command strips are awesome)
-Broom/swiffer
-Alarm clock
-Mattress topper (optional, but nice to have)
-Items that suit your hobbies (i.e. musical instruments, video games, sports equipment, etc.)
-Power bar
-A fan (for the hotter months, there is no air conditioning in res)
-Laundry hamper
Bathroom Essentials:
-Toiletries (i.e. toothbrush, shampoo, soap, etc.)
-Towels
-Shower caddy
-Shower shoes
** If you have an ensuite bathroom** (it's a good idea to communicate with your en-suite mate to plan who brings which items ahead)
-2 shower curtains
-Bath mat
-Toilet paper
-Cleaning supplies (i.e. toilet brush, sponges, gloves, cleaning spray, etc.)
-Shelving units (optional, but helpful - there isn’t any storage)
-Hand soap
Other Essentials:
-Dish soap, dish cloth/dish towel
-Laundry detergent (liquid only please)
-Dryer sheets
-First aid kit (a box of bandaids)
-Health card
-School supplies (we are here to learn, after all)
-Ethernet cable (for a better and faster internet connection)
-Dry erase markers for the whiteboard provided outside of your room
THINGS THAT COME WITH YOUR ROOM:
-Mini fridge
-Desk lamp
-Microwave
-Full length mirror
-Curtains
-Heater
-Desk Chair
THINGS YOU CANNOT BRING:
-Hot plates/ other cooking devices (you don’t need it anyway, we have microwaves provided and a full kitchen in the basement)
-Extra space heaters (a space heater can be provided through housing if you see it necessary but we have our own heaters and temperature control in every room)
-Tacs
-Candles (Fake candles like the battery operated ones are a common alternative... they still have good ambiance)
-Wireless printers - Wireless printers tamper with the house WiFi and frustrate a lot of people, if you have one we will find you and make you disable the wireless function.
