- Keep your door open as much as you can!
- Go to all of the orientation events!! They're all optional, and you don't have to participate, but it really helps you meet people outside of your residence, and even the people in your residence
- 8:30’s aren’t that bad, and you have to take them sometimes
- Get a Mount A calendar from the bookstore and fill out your semester ASAP. Use it.
- At the library, be quiet, and always sit by an outlet
- Lanyards are very useful, you can get one from the Mount A bookstore!
- When studying, take breaks and move around
- Stay on top of your classes, even if there are open due dates
- Try not to eat a lot after 10 pm, especially fatty foods. You’ll have stomach aches in the morning
- Close your curtains when changing!!!!
- Join any club you find interesting, you'll meet so many different people.
- When you write an essay, pick out your quotes first and write it around that
- Quizlet will be your best friend
- Double check your alarms
- Try to keep organized- give you room a quick tidy every few days
- Pick a laundry day and stick to it!
- Do your dishes right after you eat in your room
- Although meal hall is a buffet pretty much, remember to eat healthy! There’s nothing wrong with treating yourself, but remember the food pyramid, vegetables are a thing
- Ask any of the exec/RA/ac-men team for help with anything, or even the second years. Chances are, we’ve done the classes, we’ve struggled with most of the same things, and we’d love to help
- Bigelow is right next to the fitness center, working out is an important part of staying healthy. If you don’t have time or the gym bores you, they have yoga and Zumba nights, and there are also intramural sports you can play with the house
